Most of the movies that we watch have fictional stories, meaning they are made up and are far away from reality. However, there are also certain movies that are based on reality and it is an absolute pleasure watching those movies since they are based on reality and all those events have happened before. You can stream most of these movies online, but for that, you would need a fast internet connection that would let you stream these movies without any problems at all, therefore it would be a smart decision to look into Spectrum Internet because of its amazing service.

If you can’t seem to figure out which movies based on reality you should watch, don’t worry because we have an entire list created for you. Keep reading to find out what are some of the best movies you can watch that are based on true stories:

The Social Network

Ever wondered about what went down when Facebook was created? The Social Network is the story of Mark Zuckerberg and everything that happened in the process of creating Facebook. The movie follows a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg by his friend Eduardo Saverin who helped co-create Facebook but his shares were later diluted. The movie goes to show how many enemies you make once you set yourself on the path to success and starting a business with your best friend could create problems between you as well, therefore it is a smart idea not to do so.

Every actor has done a wonderful job in fulfilling their role, Jesse Eisenberg made a brilliant Mark Zuckerberg while Andrew Garfield played a perfect Eduardo Saverin. The movie is also sad in the sense that how things end up between two best friends with one suing the other one for fraud.

Argo

What limit would you go to so that you could make sure that the people from your country are safe and protected in another country that is undergoing a revolution? This is the very interesting story of Argo which is also based on true events. The movie is about a CIA agent who loves watching movies and how he rescues six diplomats back to the United States from Iran, which went through a revolution back in 1979. He creates an elaborate plan that would allow him to smuggle the diplomats from Iran back to the United States of America.

He comes up with a plan in which he stages to create a Sci-Fi movie that was supposed to be shot in Iran and after he gets permission to shoot there (technically), he begins to plan on how he would get those people out of Iran. One of the best things about the movie is that not only does it star Ben Affleck as the lead but the movie was also directed by Ben Affleck as well and the movie was directed very well.

Into the Wild

One of the most inspirational Hollywood movies that you could watch. Into the Wild is also based on true events, it is about a college student named Christopher McCandless who comes from a very wealthy family. However, he is not very satisfied with his life and he leaves his family, friends, and his inheritance behind he hitchhikes all the way to Alaska so that he could get a better perspective on his life.

He has very life-changing experiences in the process, he meets lots of people and he learns a lot of things from them. He also realizes that “happiness is real when it is shared”, which is honestly very true. Emile Hirsch did an excellent job in portraying Christopher and as the audience, we actually get the chance to connect with Chris and feel what he is feeling because most of his problems are very relatable.

Catch Me if You Can

Can you really stay one step ahead of the law? In Catch Me if You Can, Frank Abagnale Jr. could. Frank is played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie. Frank is a 17-year-old boy who is quite clever for his age and he is an extremely skilled con man and a forger. There comes a point when he becomes the biggest fraudster in the United States and is pursued by the FBI directly, but somehow he always manages to stay one step ahead of them which gets increasingly frustrating for the FBI.

Throughout the movie, Frank has the attention of an FBI agent named Carl Hanratty who is portrayed by Tom Hanks and even though Carl is determined to catch Frank, he somehow manages to escape every time because of how skilled he is.

Wrapping Up

The next time you intend on watching a movie that is based on a true story, be sure to keep these movies in mind since they are among the best ones!
