Luca’s Birth and Childhood

His mother, Jodi Nash Sun, and his father, Steve Nash, both had very stressful situations that caused them to separate and eventually divorce when Luca was only one year old. As a result, Luca lived with his mom and maternal grandmother for much of the time until he was three years old. Jodi would eventually remarry and move to Vancouver Island to raise her son with her new husband.
While living in Vancouver, Jodi and her new husband adopted a beautiful little girl named Maddison. After Jodi married her husband, she decided to move back to Alberta with her two children. Luca’s father, Steve Nash, was born and raised in Edmonton. He started his professional career as a hockey player when he was drafted in 2001 by the Phoenix Coyotes.
